MY first Tailgate!! :)

29 08 2008

So, this Saturday is my first official tailgate ever and I’m a senior in college! Why you ask. Why have I never been tailgating and why have I never consumed alcoholic beverages at one of the biggest party schools?? Because I’ve been a member of the band. That’s right, for the past three years I have been a member of the marching band and every game day have been practicing and not drinking because I had other obligations.

This is the first year and I have never been more pumped. Unfortunately my friends are not as thrilled as me. One even said she didn’t care if she got a ticket or not because its the same old thing. REALLY? I’m going to go party with the freshman if that’s how its going to be, because I’m sure they are super excited as well.

I hope everything goes as planned!!

P.S. I’m pissed because I was on a website and it had the worst person in the world for the week on it and under that category was Stephanie Meyers name for the vampire series.

If I see the guy who wrote that I will punch him personally for his ignorant ways. Asshole!

Assets.

27 08 2008

“Its easy to think about people as assets. Resources to accomplish a goal, because you don’t have a personal relationship with an asset. You don’t care about an asset. You don’t miss the scent of an asset when she leaves the room.”

Because of my new obsession of burn notice I had to share one of my favorite quotes from the show. Its so good.

And now I can tell you I have finally finished my internship presentation and log, portfolio to turn in tomorrow to my internship advisor. All of the dead bodies I worked with this summer and filed in my journal (no names of course) and all of the adventures I went on are in there as well.

There is one thing I do regret though. I regret that not even half of classmates had even an ounce as much fun as I had while completing my internship. Mostly everyone ended up in an office all day pushing papers and not really getting to know the field.

I would feel like I missed a huge opportunity if I didn’t have a hands on approach to forensic science. boo.

Burn Notice.

26 08 2008

Along with my top three favorite shows, one tree hill, alias, and its always sunny in Philidelphia I can now say I am obsessed with something else. Last week after I moved back in at school I got sick. Not terribly sick but an annoying head cold sinus infection. boo. On Thursday I stayed home in bed at night and was clicking through hulu when burn notice jumped out at me. Not wanting to get into a whole new show seeming that I barely watch anything as it is I just decided to watch the first episode and that was it.

After the first episode, second, third, fourth… I knew I was hooked and there was no turning back. I finished the first season on Saturday and started watching the second season getting completely caught up by Sunday morning. wow. Let me tell you that is not me. I can’t sit around and watch shows like that for long periods of time. Its good. Everything about the show is amazing. The humor is there between Micheal and Fi and of course she’s mind blowingly hot and his ex girlfriend.

The ideas and the people that Micheal helps are also really good too. I just love this show now and I don’t know what I’m going to do because I need to see the next episode but apparently they are taking a few weeks off starting this week, so I’m going to have to wait till I can actually see it.

Crazy enough I called two naval intelligence senior officer recruiters today to talk to them about my life and possibly working in naval intelligence. Neither of them answered so I left messages for both and I hope that they will return my calls shortly. Figuring out the whole life thing is definately stressing me out. Hopefully the direction I should take will pop out at me soon.
