So finally I am taking a week off, from all jobs. Not one day this week do I have to get up at 6:20 AM nor do I have to work a nine hour shift. And not only that, I am 600 miles away from my hometown visiting relatives in Wisconsin! Awesome. My cousin Claire had her graduation party this past weekend and now my family and I are relaxing here for the week before we head back home.
It is a lot of fun here, probably too much, but I did meet an awesome band. They are called FourWay Free. They are a combination of Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews, with a little more pop. My cousins friends are obsessed with them and try to go to some of their performances, but they are originally from LA. I was VERY impressed by them. I couldn’t believe how well they sounded and I’m not a crazy band freak but I definately had to buy their CD and get it signed by all of them seeming that we were VIP.
The drummer is named Booty, the bass is Cameron, the guitar is Jeff, and the lead singer is Genji. I was a band groupie for the night and I loved it. After the show we went to an all night diner to talk with them and hang out but they couldn’t stay out too late because they had to be up and on the road before their next performance in Indiana. And get this, they’ve been out there trying to promote this band for eight years! Thats stamina. But they are very good, they just need the listeners. So everybody download a song now. haha.
Other than that Ive been relaxing, laying out at the different lakes around the area, and drinking. Good times.
Everybody out there wants to make it big… And the ones who do, are the ones who go out there and do it.
